A familiar face returns in this recent Field of battle 2042 short film
Battleground 2042 is a near-future multiplayer shooter in which 128 players duke it out crosswise a series of solid, destroyable maps. The game isn't out until October, but today Ea released a short ball club-minute film, highborn Exodus, which reveals more active its world and taradiddle.
The film sees the tax return of Field of honor 4's Kimble 'Irish whisky' Graves, played aside Michael K. Williams—y'know, Omar from The Wire. Graves is no longer a Marine, simply a homeless soldier called a No-Rap. The flic is surely cinematic, in the modern sense, with its racy-tinged colour grading and Hans Zimmer drones. As a piece of shot-setting for Battlefield 2042's depressing near-future mise en scene, it's pretty rough-and-ready. It's weird seeing story-leaden marketing for a game that made a point of saying there'll cost no singleplayer campaign this clock time around. Merely I guess DICE wants to defecate sure its world has some narrative backbone, rather than only being a big increasing playground for 128 soldiers to make over a mess of. Will the average thespian even off care? Maybe non, but hey—it's in that respect if you want it.
You can experience life as a No-Pat for yourself when, if all goes to plan, Battlefield 2042 is discharged on October 21. The most interesting affair revealed about it to that extent is Battlefield Vena portae, a custom game mode creator, but there's one more mystery mode that tranquillise hasn't been disclosed, known as Pretend Zone.
